The 564-room Omni Providence Hotel, which is connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center, has completed renovations to the property's West tower, the final piece of a $15 million project.
The guest rooms now feature scarlets and crimson reds, along with chocolate and champagne tones, as the wall coverings, carpeting, custom bedding and draperies have been refreshed. The guest bathrooms also have been redone.
"The Omni Providence Hotel showcases the look and feel of New England, and truly provides our guests a sense of place," said Burnell Goldman, the property's general manager. "We have made the hotel a focal point of Providence, and everything from the design, décor, culinary experience and amenities is reflective of this great city."
Public areas also have been upgraded. The the open-air lobby and meeting spaces were redone in an earlier phase of the work, as the breakout rooms and ballrooms received new wallcoverings and carpeting. At the same time, the Morsel's coffee shop was redesigned and the indoor heated pool, one of the only pools in downtown Providence, received new furniture and a new deck.
The hotel has 22,877 square feet of meeting space, including an 8,000-square-foot ballroom and 20 meeting rooms. Aside from Morsel's, dining options are provided by Centro Restaurant, which serves Italian fare, and Fleming's Steakhouse.
