A $2 million renovation has been completed at the 358-room Seattle Marriott Waterfront, focusing on the lobby and meeting space. The 11,354 square feet of meeting space now has a blue and gray palate and a new chancelier hung in the 7,939-square-foot Grand Pacific Ballroom; a fireplace was added to the lobby. Afternoon breaks designed by executive chef Thomas Horner include the movie-themed "Big Picture," Mexican fare for the "Afternoon Siesta" and the sweet-tooth-inspired "Sweetness in Seattle."
