The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe, has broken ground on a new venue known as Lake Club, the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. The lakeside venue will be available exclusively to guests of the hotel, which is located mid-mountain at Northstar California Resort. The club will open in summer 2017.

The Lake Club will be a multilevel restaurant and bar with panoramic views of the lake and a lawn that extends to the water. A private boat pier will offer easy access to summertime activities on the water.

Comprising the venue itself will be a 650-square-foot indoor gathering space and bar, a 600-square-foot ground-level dining terrace and a 950-square-foot upper-level dining deck. The 2,000-square-foot lawn provides direct beach access. An outdoor whirlpool, fire pit and barbecue also will be on-site.

"The addition of the Lake Club will allow the Ritz-Carlton to offer a one-of-a-kind luxury resort experience," said Joseph Mattioli, general manager of the hotel, "one that includes both direct access to the mountain and to the lake, a first for the Lake Tahoe region."
