The 121-room Hotel Eden in Rome will close for renovations on Nov. 1. When it reopens in fall 2016, the property, which is near the city's Spanish Steps, will have 99 guest rooms. Hotel Eden, a Dorchester Collection hotel, also will introduce a new urban spa featuring spa suites and a blow-dry bar. The property has two meeting rooms and a banquet venue.
Dorchester, which is owned by the Brunei government, bought the hotel in 2013. Bruno Moinard, who previously completed the redesign of some of the public spaces at the company's Hôtel Plaza Athénée in Paris as well as the Grill at the Dorchester in London, will oversee the interior decoration of the lobby, rooms and suites; Jouin Manku is overseeing the restoration of the restaurants, the bar on the sixth floor and the spa.
