The 128-suite Rosewood Mayakoba reopened this week, following a four-week, $1.6 million renovation. The Riviera Maya luxury resort, on Mexico's Caribbean coast, converted existing accommodations to add 18 adjoining suites, designed to appeal to families and larger groups. Each suite, which has been outfitted with new furniture and artwork, sleeps up to six guests. On-site dining venues Casa del Lago restaurant, Agave Azul Sushi Bar & Tequila Library, and Puebla Bonita have been renovated as well and their menus updated. The gym within Sense, A Rosewood Spa, has doubled in size, to more than 1,800 square feet. New spa treatments with a Mayan theme also have been added.
