CTF Georgetown Hotel LLC, new owners of the 49-room Capella Washington, D.C., has named Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as the management company for the Georgetown hotel, which sits alongside the C&O Canal. CTF just bought the property for $65 million from Castleton Hotel Partners; it has been renamed as the Rosewood Washington, D.C., effective today.

"Rosewood Washington, D.C., is an exciting addition to Rosewood's collection of properties and strengthens our presence in North America," said Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group. "The hotel draws on the capital's rich culture and history to express Rosewood's trademark philosophy of 'a sense of place' in innovative and memorable ways."

The newly rebranded property's guest rooms feature contemporary art and state-of-the-art technology. Food and drink options include fine dining at the Grill Room, and creative cocktails and rare rye whiskeys at the Rye Bar. For relaxation, in-room spa services are available, as well as a 24-hour fitness center.

The guests-only rooftop lounge features an indoor-outdoor pool and panoramic views over the capital city; the space can be used for private parties of up to 110 people. Indoor gatherings are held in an executive boardroom or private dining room.
