The 299-room SLS Baha Mar has debuted at the Baha Mar resort in Nassau, Bahamas. The property joins the 1,800-room Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, which debuted earlier this year. The resort's third hotel, the 200-room Rosewood Baha Mar, will open in 2018.  The SLS has eight food-and-beverage outlets, including Katsuya, Cleo Mediterráneo, and the Bungalow Pool Bar and Grill; the Bond nightclub and Skybar lounge will open next month and early next year, respectively.
SLS guests have access to the resort's Royal Blue Baha Mar, the 18-hole, par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. Also on site are a  100,000-square-foot casino, the Espa Spa and the Baha Mar Convention, Art and Entertainment Center, with 200,000 square feet of meeting space.
"This is an exciting time for the Bahamas and our SBE team, as the international expansion of our SLS footprint is a huge step for the brand, along with the 11 additional SLS properties in the pipeline," noted Sam Nazarian, founder and CEO of SBE, which owns hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and more. "We are thrilled to open our doors at SLS Baha Mar, including our first international Cleo, which features a new menu by award-winning chef Danny Elmaleh, and we look forward to opening the rest of our restaurant and entertainment outlets in the near future. Through every detail, we are highlighting the beauty of the Bahamian culture and disrupting the way guests and travelers view lifestyle-hospitality experiences. We are proud to be part of the incredible Baha Mar integrated resort destination and are humbled by the warm welcome we have received from the Bahamas community."
