 Lodging data provider STR bestowed the Best Performing Hotel Awards on recipients last week at the 2012 Hotel Data Conference, based on 2011 performance results. The winners for each chain scale segment were: the Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole (Teton Village, Wyo.), for the luxury segment; Joie de Vivre Ventana Inn & Spa (Big Sur, Calif.), for the upper upscale segment; Crowne Plaza Z Ocean Hotel South Beach (Miami Beach), for the upscale segment; Best Western Plus Beach Resort Hotel (Fort Myers Beach, Fla.), for the upper midscale segment; Best Western King Charles Inn (Charleston, S.C.), for the midscale segment; Super 8 Nacogdoches (Tex.), for the economy segment; and San Ysidro Ranch (Santa Barbara, Calif.), for the independent segment.
