The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Eastern Pennsylvania opened its long-awaited hotel this weekend, two years after the casino opened for business. Although the official grand opening is scheduled for late next week, hotel occupancy this past weekend was higher than 80 percent, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The 300-room property has an indoor pool, a fitness room and complimentary continental breakfast, as well as "In-Room Dining from Emeril's Kitchen," a private dining menu from chef Emeril Lagasse that features selections from his three on-site restaurants. The new hotel offers more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space and an additional 3,000 square feet of prefunction and exhibit space.
