The 153-room Pan Pacific Hotel Seattle has received Green Globe Certification, an international designation, after adopting a zero-impact policy. Guests are encouraged to support carbon-neutral travel by purchasing credit for the generation of clean wind energy; the hotel matches all donations, and offers options for carbon-neutral meetings in its 4,000 square feet of meeting space. Among numerous other sustainable efforts, key cards are biodegradable and the front-desk staff wears uniforms made from recycled plastic bottles.
