The 240-room Sheraton Adana Hotel opened this week in Turkey's fifth-largest city, in the southern part of the country. Set on the bank of the Seyhan River, the new-build offers a Sheraton Club floor with a lounge; two restaurants, a café and bar; a fitness facility with a Turkish hammam; and the Puri Spa. The property has nearly 22,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including an 11,000-square-foot ballroom that accommodates as many as 700 attendees. A boardroom and four conference rooms also are available. The hotel is Starwood's 10th in Turkey. Later this year, the Four Points by Sheraton brand will make its Turkish debut in the form of the Four Points by Sheraton Istanbul Dudullu, Starwood's first property on the Asian side of Istanbul. The 182-room hotel will be part of a multi-use complex and will offer a restaurant, a bar and a fitness center. Four meeting rooms and three small boardrooms will be available on-site.
