Starwood Hotels and Resorts is renovating the Soberano Hotel in Chihuahua, Mexico, and will convert the property to the 204-room Sheraton Chihuahua Soberano Hotel by November of this year. The hotel will offer two restaurants, a Sheraton Club Lounge, a Link@Sheraton technology center, a fitness facility and 14,000 square feet of meeting space. It is located in the upscale northern zone of the city, near the San Francisco Country Club and its 18-hole golf course.

The hotel will be the sixth Sheraton in Mexico. Starwood has announced three other projects in the country: the 150-room Aloft Tijuana, 133-room Aloft Coatzacoalcos and 127-room Aloft Poza Rica, all of which will open by the end of 2017. Starwood now has 28 properties in the country, with eight more in the pipeline.
