Six Senses Announces Nine New Resorts
Bangkok, Thailand-based Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas will double the number of resorts in its portfolio over the next three years, the company announced Tuesday. The lodging firm, which specializes in secluded properties and sustainable development, provided details for nine new resorts as well as four new spa/wellness clubs. Among the properties in the pipeline are the 111-room Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain, opening in China in 2014; 74-room Six Senses Bhutan, opening in 2016; 45-villa Six Senses Freedom Bay, St. Lucia, opening in 2016; 32-suite Six Senses Mont Bloc, opening in 2015 in southern France; 50-room Six Senses Wuma, opening in 2016 in Taitung, Taiwan; and 100-room Six Senses Cartagena, opening in 2016 in Cartagena, Colombia. Opening dates have yet to be determined for the 129-villa Six Senses Ninghai in southeastern China, 120-room Six Senses Uluwatu in Bali and 67-room Six Senses Gammarth in Tunisia. The newly announced spa/wellness clubs are the Six Senses Spa at Esentai Tower, opening January 2014 in Kazakhstan; Six Senses World One in Mumbai, India; Evason by Six Senses in Pune, India; and Six Senses Spa at Al Bustan Palace in Oman.
