The 258-room St. Regis Toronto, the brand's first flag in Canada, has opened to great fanfare on Bay Street, between the financial and entertainment districts, in the former Trump International Hotel/Adelaide Hotel building. The 65-story luxury property claims its 124 suites -- nearly half of its room count -- are the most of any hotel in all of Canada.
Along with 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space, the hotel has a sumptuous décor that is said to reflect the diverse and rich social fabric of Toronto, which is often called the most multicultural city in the world, with more than140 languages spoken.

"As the first St. Regis in Canada, the St. Regis Toronto represents an incredible milestone for the brand," said Don Cleary, president of Marriott Hotels of Canada, in a statement announcing the hotel's opening. "Rooted in the brand's distinct history and heritage, this new hotel will offer an exquisite escape for business and leisure travelers alike. We are thrilled to introduce the quintessential St. Regis experience to Toronto, a world-class city with a vibrant culture and international community."

Two on-site F&B offerings promise to be just as delicous as the hotel's interiors. Helmed by executive chef Guillaume Robin, the restaurant Louix Louis on the 31st floor offers a menu of contemporary American cuisine with French flair. Its dramatic crystal-glass design draws inspiration from the iconic cocktail bars of New York and Paris, and its two-story grand bar has an extensive list of libations, including one of the deepest dark-spirit collections in the country. The bar also serves Rouge 40, St. Regis' signature Bloody Mary cocktail with a local twist.

The restaurant has a second-level loft space available for private bookings and an outdoor secret garden overlooking Toronto's skyline and Lake Ontario. In the lobby, the living-room-style Astor Lounge sports a café counter and serves afternoon tea on weekends and champagne in the evenings.
Other luxury touches include a full-service spa, an infinity-edge saltwater lap pool with panoramic views of the Toronto skyline, a state-of-the-art fitness center on the 32nd floor featuring a movement studio for yoga and pilates, and the brand's signature St. Regis Butler Service, which is accessed through the Marriott Mobile App 24/7.
