The 35-room luxury boutique Las Alcobas, in Mexico City's upscale Polanco neighborhood, is now part of Starwood Hotels and Resorts' Luxury Collection. The property, converted from a former residence with interiors designed by Yabu Pushelberg, showcases work by local artists in a contemporary atmosphere. Two-bedroom suites are available, as are three penthouse suites and a presidential suite. The property has a signature restaurant on-site, Anatol, and is adjacent to Dulce Patria, a gourmet Mexican restaurant that shares owners with the hotel. Also on-site is the Aurora Spa and a 24-hour fitness room. Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mexico City, is the first of two Las Alcobas properties joining the collection. The other, Las Alcobas, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Napa Valley, will open in 2016. Mexico City is only the sixth city in the world to offer all three of Starwood's luxury brands, which also include St. Regis and W hotels. The other locations are New York City; Washington, D.C.; San Francisco; Bangkok, Thailand; and Bali, Indonesia.
