Starwood's Luxury Collection has added two properties to its portfolio, expanding its presence in Greece and Peru. The 102-room King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens, just wrapped up a three-month renovation to join the collection. All rooms and suites offer impressive views of the city and the Acropolis. The newly renovated ballroom can host up to 400 attendees and can be divided into three rooms. The Tudor Hall restaurant has been transformed from its previous classic Greco-Roman design to a contemporary, elegant Mediterranean setting with both indoor and outdoor dining spaces.

In Peru, the Palacio del Inka in Cusco joined the collection following an extensive US$15 million renovation. The 203-room historic property is across from the preserved ruins of the Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun. The ancient walls of the building are part of the renovated structure, and the décor features many Spanish Colonial touches to evoke the city's past. Five event spaces can accommodate up to 400 attendees.
