The 135-suite Tahéima Wellness Resort & Spa opened in Nuevo Vallarta, a town north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport in Mexico's Riviera Nayarit. The all-inclusive resort focuses on overall wellness and offers a workout facility and dance studio, as well as four restaurants that emphasize healthful cuisine. A temporary spa currently is open on the property; a 22,000-square-foot rooftop spa will be completed by early next year. Ten meeting rooms are on site, accommodating 30 to 160 people, as well as a ballroom that holds up to 600. The resort also has a learning center, which offers classes and workshops, and partners with the UC Berkeley Osher Lifeling Learning Institute to provide one-week programs four times a year in fields such as Latin American relations and integrative medicine.
