The Algonquin, one of New York City's most famous hotels, has joined Marriott's Autograph Collection. The 174-room property, which has 4,000 square feet of meeting space, was the gathering spot for famed writers and artists including Dorothy Parker, Robert Benchley and Edna Ferber, and has been designated a city landmark. It is the first Big Apple property in the Marriott Autograph Collection of independent high-end hotels and resorts.
