Today, the 800-room Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., unveils a new fly-fishing program and Base Camp. The latter is a check-in area for all of the resort's wilderness offerings, such as guided hikes, mountain-bike tours, rock climbing and falconry. Base Camp also offers retail outdoor apparel, gifts and equipment. The seven-cabin Fishing Camp, which will feature a rustic main lodge, debuts at the end of May and will offer half- and full-day guided trips on the Tarryall River. This third member of the property's Wilderness Experience portfolio is about 75 minutes from The Broadmoor proper, and joins Cloud Camp, an 8,000-square-foot main lodge with 11 one- and two-bedroom cabins on top of Cheyenne Mountain, and the 10-cabin Ranch at Emerald Valley in Pike National Forest, about 30 minutes from the resort. The Broadmoor also offers three top golf courses and 185,000 square feet of meeting space.
