Workers at 32 Toronto hotels overwhelmingly have authorized a strike to "stop declining working conditions and other draconian measures they say are plunging them into precarious work and reducing the quality of service to hotel guests," according to the website Hotelworkersrising.org, run by the labor union Unite Here. The earliest possible strike date is June 24, right before the G20 summit scheduled to take place June 26-27 at the Novotel Toronto.
