Developer Donald Trump has purchased Doonbeg Lodge and Golf Club in western Ireland, according to press reports. The renowned property is spread over 400 acres and 2.5 miles of coast; the lodge has 218 guest rooms, a spa and several restaurants. The Trump Organization said in a statement it planned to upgrade the property so it will be "an unparalleled resort destination with the highest standards of luxury." The resort will be renamed Trump International Golf Links, Ireland.
