Donald Trump is rumored to be among the hoteliers interested in buying and converting the old TWA terminal at New York's JFK Airport, according to press reports. The Eero Saarinen-designed structure, a 1962 jet-age landmark, has been sitting unused since 2001. The deadline for bids to be delivered to the current owner, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, is Oct. 14. Among other hotel firms rumored to be interested are Yotel and Marriott. According to the Wall Street Journal, hotelier Andre Balazs dropped plans to turn the terminal into a hotel last year. The PANY/NJ issued a request for proposals in August.
