A 226-room Renaissance by Marriott and a 154-room Residence Inn by Marriott will be built at Port Imperial on the Weehawken, N.J., waterfront, according to news reports. The Renaissance will have meeting space that will accommodate 750 attendees, a lounge and a breakfast space, plus a 30,000-square-foot outdoor terrace with views of the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline. The Residence Inn will feature guest rooms with a fully equipped in-suite kitchen and will offer free daily hot breakfast. Guests from both hotels will have access to a restaurant on the sixth floor, as well as a shared pool and fitness center. A completion date has not been announced.
