 The 192-room W London Hotel, Leicester Square, has opened in the British capital. The property has two meeting rooms, a 38-seat screening room, the Spice Market restaurant (from chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten), a Sweat gym and an Away spa. Also new is the 405-room W Taipei in the Taiwanese capital's central business district, with more than 30,000 square feet of meeting space. The property includes several dining options, including the Kitchen Table, serving wood-fired pizzas and grilled seafood; the outdoor WET pool sky deck, offering barbecue fare; and Yen, the W brand's Cantonese restaurant, featuring dim sum, soups and fresh seafood. Rooms come equipped with 42-inch flat-screen televisions, Bose sound systems and MP3 player docks.
