U.S. hotels enjoyed solid year-over-year gains in June, according to preliminary data from STR. Revenue per available room will be up by between 6 and 8 percent, with the upscale, upper-midscale and midscale segments experiencing the highest gains. Occupancy gains are expected to be between 1 and 3 percent, led by the luxury, upper-midscale and midscale segments.
