Following massive flooding in Nashville this past weekend, approximately 1,500 guests and employees were evacuated Sunday from the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, and the hotel has been closed until further notice. A statement from Gaylord Hotels & Resorts, issued Monday, said it is reasonable to conclude that the hotel will be closed for several months. The company is working with the organizers of all meetings booked at the Gaylord Opryland to possibly reschedule at another Gaylord property. Meanwhile, the company will be refunding deposits and payments for all reservations scheduled for arrival over the next 90 days. Click here to view a slide show of the flooded Gaylord Opryland.
