Viceroy Anguilla to Become a Four Seasons
The 166-room Viceroy Anguilla will be reflagged as the Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Anguilla. The Eastern Caribbean property will close Aug. 22 and reopen under the new banner Oct. 20. Among the 35-acre resort's offerings are an 8,100-square-foot spa, several restaurants and six meeting/event rooms.
"Four Seasons is known all over the world for operating some of the finest luxury hotels and resorts in the world, and we're excited to bring their level of expertise in resort and private residence management to Anguilla as we continue to make additional improvements to the already magnificent property. Four Seasons is committed to the highest standards of service and care. For our guests and current and future residential owners, we look forward to re-opening the doors of our Anguilla resort as a Four Seasons later this year and elevating Caribbean luxury to new levels," said Barry Sternlicht, chairman and CEO, Starwood Capital Group, which owns the property.
"This is a unique opportunity to extend our presence in the Caribbean and offer luxury travelers a Four Seasons experience at the best resort property on the island," said J. Allen Smith, president and CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "This is our first venture with Starwood Capital Group, and we look forward to leveraging our combined strengths and shared commitment to excellence as we introduce a world-class Four Seasons resort to Anguilla later this year."
