The 251-room W Austin Hotel reopened Saturday, after closing to address faulty glass adorning the facade's balconies. Eight of the panels fell of the building in June, injuring four people, crashing into the pool and hitting the street. Wood panels are on the balconies temporarily; about 1,000 glass panels are being replaced with safer glass. The property opened last December and offers 10,500 square feet of meeting space.
