The 208-room Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa is set to open July 12 in the Northern San Diego County coastal community. The resort will share amenties with the newly renovated 169-room Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa in the same complex. The hotels feature private guest entry to the adjacent Legoland theme park.
Among the amenities at the complex will be the 20|Twenty Grill, named for the clear, picture-perfect views the restaurant affords of the Pacific coastline. The 5,200-square-foot venue, helmed by chef Eddie Zamora, will offer farm-fresh ingredients, craft cocktails and a large outdoor dining terrace outfitted with fire pits. Also on-site are the recently opened 7 Mile Kitchen -- serving pizzas, local beers and locally made gelato -- and additional casual F&B outlets.

The hotels feature a total of more than 70,000 square feet of meeting space, with both indoor and outdoor options. Among them is the Water Tower rooftop terrace, which sits atop one of the highest points in Carlsbad. The private-event space offers panoramic ocean views and is accessible only to property guests.

The standard Westin wellness offerings will be available, too, including the 24-hour WestinWORKOUT fitness studio and the option to rent New Balance workout gear. The on-site Ocean Pearl Spa specializes in organic products and signature services that incorporate marine-based botanicals.

The resort features complimentary shuttle service within a five-mile radius, and the Ride the Tide beach trolley operates during the summer months.
