The 487-room Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa has unveiled a new look and new amenities for its guest rooms; the upgrades are the second phase of the resort's year-long, $30 million renovation. Among the enhancements are the addition of executive desks with power outlets and strong Wi-Fi signal; accent tables that expand to accommodate a laptop or in-room-dining tray; 42" HD-Tvs; iHome HiP50 Bluetooth Docking Station/Clock Radio/Speakerphone for iPad, iPod, iPhone; and expanded walk-in showers with Westin Heavenly Rain Forest showerheads. The property's 60,000 square feet of meeting space also has been upgraded with new carpeting, lighting, and banquet and A/V equipment. Additional phases of the rejuvenation project, including enhancements to the lobby, AZUL Restaurant and Lounge, the adjoining patio, poolside cabanas and more, will be completed this year.
