The 611-room Westin Playa Bonita Panama opened its doors yesterday, a US$100 million beachfront property that claims to offer the largest meeting space in Panama. The hotel, situated between the rainforest and the Pacific Ocean about 20 minutes outside of Panama City, has six restaurants, four bars and a VIP lounge. Also available are 22 multipurpose meeting spaces, for a total of 65,000 square feet of space. The upscale property, the country’s first Westin, offers a Westin WORKOUT gym, three freshwater infinity-edge pools, a children’s pool and a kids club.
