Westin Hotels & Resorts has announced a workspace redevelopment project, dubbed Project Hive. Business centers and dedicated workspaces in Westin Hotels are being remodeled as multifunctional, flexible work and small-meeting spaces, to be equipped with videoconferencing and multimedia equipment, broadband connectivity and collaboration areas. The new workspaces will be suitable for small, impromptu gatherings for up to four people, and can be booked by the hour with little advance notice. Project Hive is tailored to the needs of a mobile work force; the new spaces already are available at the Westin Boston Waterfront and Westin Arlington (Va.) Gateway Hotel, and soon will debut at the Westin Grand Munich in Germany. The workspaces will be unveiled at Westin properties globally through 2013.
