The Wyndham Hotel Group has announced plans to open the Wyndham Istanbul Kalamis Marina in the fall of 2012. It is the second Wyndham property to be announced for Istanbul in the past month; the Wyndham Petek Istanbul also is set to debut next year. The 212-room Istanbul Kalamis Marina, located across from the marina on the Asian side of the city, will offer views of the Marmara Sea. The property will have a large spa and fitness center, three on-site restaurants, two swimming pools and eight meeting rooms. Radisson, meanwhile, also will expand its Turkish presence when it rebrands the current Taksim hotel in Mersin later this year. The 190-room Radisson Blu Hotel Mersin, slated to change flags sometime in the fourth quarter of 2011, will be on the upper floors of the second-tallest building in the country, the 52-story Mersin Tower. On Turkey's southern coast, the property's guest rooms will have views of the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel has been completely renovated over the past year and now offers more than 18,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants and a spa.
