Marking the largest convention facility in Southeast Europe with 242,190 square feet of event space for up to 8,000 attendees, the recently opened Akti Imperial Hotel and Convention Center (pictured above) in Rhodes is near the city's center and about 7 miles from Rhodes Airport. The hotel portion includes 710 guest rooms, five indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, a private beach, a fitness center, and multiple restaurants and bars.

Denmark

Marking its debut in this Scandinavian country, Wyndham has collaborated with Comwell Hotels to open multiple Dolce properties.

Comwell Copenhagen Portside, Dolce by Wyndham

Expected to open in 2021, the Comwell Copenhagen Portside, Dolce by Wyndham, will sit in the Nordhavn district of Traelastholmen. The property will have 484 guest rooms, 17 conference rooms, a restaurant, a bar and two atriums. The property will feature architecture inspired by this capital city's historic warehouses.

Comwell Aarhus, Dolce by Wyndham

Located in Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city, this newly opened property features 240 guest rooms, 3,975 square feet of meeting space, a restaurant and a bar. The property is outfitted in urban décor furnished by famed Danish design company HAY and offers guests views of the city.

With some 9,200 properties in 80 countries, Wyndham also has launched a new digital hub for meeting planners. The chain is offering a discount of 5 percent off the master bill when planners contract for 25 rooms or more at participating meeting-focused hotels between now and Dec. 31, 2019. Booked business must be completed by June 30, 2020. Full terms and conditions are available at WyndhamHotels.com/Meetings.

"Wyndham partners with meeting and event planners on every type of meeting to find the right spaces for their events," said Carol Lynch, vice president of global sales for Wyndham, in a news release. "With the new streamlined process through our website combined with fresh and exciting destinations, we're helping planners curate the perfect trip."
