Yotel, a British hotel chain, is headed to Boston as part of its plans to grow its presence in North America. The company already runs a 669-room hotel in New York City that offers about 2,000 square feet of meeting space, and earlier announced plans to add properties in Miami and San Francisco. The 326-room hotel (Yotel calls the rooms "cabins") will be part of Boston's Seaport Square, a $3 billion development under way on the city's waterfront, which is expected to be completed by 2025. The Yotel Boston is expected to open in 2017.

In addition, the brand, which also has two properties in London and one in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is in negotiations to add projects in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Chicago; Los Angeles; Seattle, and Toronto.
