The 116-room DoubleTree by Hilton Vail has opened in one of Colorado's top outdoor-adventure destinations, offering easy access to the eponymous mountain with an on-site ski-rental service and complimentary shuttle to the Vail Village and Lionshead lifts.
"While Vail is one of the world's most popular ski destinations, it continues to attract adventure-seekers of all kinds, year-round," said Shawn McAteer, global head and senior vice president of the DoubleTree brand. "DoubleTree by Hilton Vail welcomes guests with a refreshingly affordable retreat and newly renovated hotel, where they can take in all that the alpine village has to offer, while also enjoying our first-class service and amenities, all starting with our signature, warm DoubleTree Cookie."
The guest-room design features a rustic look, with bare-wood walls and rough-edged wood desks. For dining, the hotel offers the Westside Café, serving casual American classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Casa Mexico, opened for both lunch and dinner. Soon to open is Pivot62, designed around a central wood-burning oven, and a grab-and-go spot called the Colorado Made Market.
The property has more than 2,782 square feet of meeting space, including the 1,935-square-foot Terrace Ballroom, which overlooks the patio and pool area; the outdoor space can be annexed for an indoor/outdoor event.
