A 20-story development housing a 272-room Le Méridien Hotel, left, and a 223-room AC Hotel by Marriott has opened in downtown Denver, one block from the Colorado Convention Center, according to owner and manager White Lodging Services.

Le Méridien Denver Downtown features one-of-a-kind artwork using vintage pieces reassembled into contemporary sculptural art. The guest rooms sport a cool-grey color palette accented with blues, greens, oranges and crimson. The property has more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space with plenty of natural light, including a 5,700-square-foot ballroom.

"We are delighted to expand our partnership with White Lodging to introduce Le Méridien brand to Denver," said Brian Povinelli, senior vice president and global brand leader for Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts. "We have made significant investments to develop the brand, which connects with guests through the art, culture and cuisine in key cities around the world. We think these passion points are sure to resonate with Denver visitors and local residents alike."

The AC Hotel by Marriott Denver Downtown is the lifestyle brand's first property in the Colorado capital city. There are now more than 100 AC hotels in Europe, Latin America and North America. The Denver hotel's design, "Urban Pioneer," has a modern ski lodge feel, with peaked roofs and strong lines. Local wood and chiseled stone are among the materials used for the public spaces.

"We're really excited to be a part of this dual-branded property opening with Le Méridien, which represents the bringing together of two great European-rooted brands under one roof," said Benoit Racle, senior global brand director of AC Hotels by Marriott. "The carefully edited, high-style experience that you get at an AC Hotel is perfect for the modern business traveler looking for frictionless, uncomplicated service, and Denver's burgeoning entrepreneurial scene made the city a perfect fit for us."

Debuting on the restaurant and bar scene is 54thirty, an open-air seasonal rooftop bar, and Corinne, a three-meal-a-day eatery serving classic American comfort food with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Le Méridien also offers the Lobbyist cocktail lounge.
