The 200-room Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley, will debut in the town near Scottsdale, Ariz., in late 2018. The 20-acre resort will have 20,000 square feet of function space, and a spa with a health and wellness program featuring a desert-inspired treatment menu. A citrus orchard and garden will grow seasonal produce harvested for the property's on-site restaurants. The project will include the Ritz-Carlton Residences, Paradise Valley; owners will have access to services and privileges at the hotel, including a dedicated concierge, priority access to hotel guest accommodations and amenities, in-residence dining, and housekeeping. The multiphased residential community will include 45 single-family homes and 94 villa residences.

"Paradise Valley in Arizona will be a great new destination for our brand in the Americas," said Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer for Ritz-Carlton. "We are pleased to be working with Five Star Development to create this unique desert resort for sophisticated travelers from around the world."

Paradise Valley spreads from north of the Phoenix mountains to Cave Creek & Carefree and the McDowell Mountains to the east in greater metropolitan Phoenix.
