The Turnberry Isle Miami, currently part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, will debut its new 325-room Orchid Tower and become part of the JW Marriott portfolio this winter. To be known as the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, the expanded property will have a total of 685 guest rooms. Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe & Associates designed the new tower, while Champalimaud Design is creating the interior look. The property offers a total of 121,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
"We are delighted to introduce JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa as the latest addition to our expanding luxury portfolio," said Mitzi Gaskins, JW Marriott's vice president and global brand leader. "The hotel's design exemplifies the vibrant culture of Miami and allows each of our guests to enjoy both elevated and sophisticated experiences from the moment that they check in. We are looking forward to continuing to deliver the highly individualized service that so embodies the JW Marriott brand at our new Miami property."
The resort includes two top-notch golf courses originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and updated by Raymond Floyd. For dining, guests can choose from an outlet of Bourbon Steak from chef Michael Mina, or the more casual Corsair Kitchen & Bar. The Âme Spa & Wellness Collective serves guests' relaxation needs.
"JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa continues to evolve, and we are incredibly excited for our new guest offering with the beautifully designed Orchid Tower," said Jeffrey Soffer, co-chairman and CEO of the property. "It is the next chapter in elevating the overall guest experience with beautifully designed guest rooms that add to our ongoing story of redefining luxury."
