The 95-room Atlantis by Giardino, a Design Hotel, has opened in Zurich, Switzerland, at the foot of Uetliberg Mountain. Courtesy of London-based design studio The Gallery HBA, the property is a complete redesign of a former hotel that stood on the site, which was considered one of Switzerland's most important post-war modernist buildings, with a striking three-winged Y-shaped layout.

Among its offerings are six meeting rooms and two restaurants. Michelin-starred chef Rolf Fliegauf has created Ecco Zurich for the property. Hide & Seek, which offers dishes marrying chef Bastian Mantey's love of Asia with his European roots, is decorated with a hand-picked collection of novels and photo journals curated by a local bookseller.

The property also has an outdoor pool with views of mountain forests and the Dipiù spa, which offers modern and Ayurvedic treatments, along with food that follows Ayurvedic principles. Other amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast.
