Aimia, one of the largest incentive companies in North America, has reached an agreement to purchase performance improvement firm Excellence in Motivation. Aimia was formed last year after the purchase of Carlson Marketing by Canadian firm Groupe Aeroplan. Its $28 million purchase of privately held Excellence in Motivation is intended to "strengthen Aimia¹s presence in key vertical markets, including automotive, healthcare, pharmaceutical, high tech and telecommunications," as well as "increase the breadth and depth of Aimia's business loyalty product and client portfolio," the company said in a statement.
