Effective Jan. 1, 2011, incentive association Site will no longer be headed by CEO Brenda Anderson, who's held the post for seven years. In a statement to Site members, the group's board of directors said, "The Site CEO role has served us well as we have grown our brand globally, raised awareness of Site's mission and especially in recent years, advocated for our industry. But now we have decided to shift resources from external focus and partnerships to investing in programming and education to support the evolving business needs of members. Based on this, the CEO position is being changed to an operational, internal-facing role." Association management firm SmithBucklin will continue to run Site; the association's staff will be reorganized under the leadership of managing director Allison Summers. Allison will assume responsibility for the day-to-day operations and the financial management of the association under the direction of the Site Executive Committee, while continuing her director role with the Site International Foundation and the board of trustees. The organization has named Joost De Meyer to the new position of director of financial development; two additional positions -- director of education and director of marketing & communications -- will be added next year.
