The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence has introduced the SITE Knowledge Centre, a new online portal serving as a repository for training, learning, resources and job tools.

Available to both SITE members and nonmembers, the 12 courses of entry- to mid-level content are divided into three tracks: "The Business Case for Incentive Travel," "Selling to the Incentive Market" and "Managing Incentive Travel Programs." Each track includes assessment quizzes, which grant a proof of completion that can be used to obtain CEU credit. Tracks costs $169, but SITE members receive complimentary access through June 30.

"The support of the SITE Foundation and generosity of our sponsors enables us to continue to develop new curriculum and resources that provide incentive travel professionals the ability to take a more proactive role in planning their own professional development," said Kevin Hinton, CEO of SITE. "We believe what we learned from the job analysis may eventually be used to create industrywide standards for job descriptions, hiring and selection, performance appraisals, and even compensation."

SITE is a global organization that provides training and certification specific to incentive travel and motivational events. In 2013, SITE introduced the Certified Incentive Specialist program to enhance incentive professionals' understanding of the creative and effective uses of incentive-travel programs. Since its inception, nearly 1,000 incentive travel planners and suppliers from 42 countries have earned the CIS designation.
