According to a new Site Index survey focusing on destinations, the top reason respondents select a destination is financial, followed by quality of service. The survey identified the top three up-and-coming destinations as Africa, Hawaii and China. In other findings, 93 percent of the 104 incentive professionals from 10 countries who were polled said they would use a destination again if it measured up on both counts. Commenting on the results, Fay Beauchine, CITE, president of the Site International Foundation and president of Engagement & Events at Carlson Marketing, said, "ROI/ROO considerations continue to surface in Site Index studies: Destination executives should note that future business from a planner is almost certain if program value and quality service are evident and measureable."
