Organizers of the Americas Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition, which took place at the Baltimore Convention Center from Tuesday through Thursday last week, reported overall growth of 5 percent over last year's inaugural numbers. Attendance for Tuesday's education day exceeded 2,250, noted organizers, a 50 percent increase over last year, while the number of exhibiting companies for the following trade show increased from 183 to 194. More than 28 percent of those exhibitors did not participate in last year's event. Detailed attendance figures will be available following an audit. A handful of industry organizations provided support for educational sessions or keynotes, including the Professional Convention Management Association, the International Congress and Convention Association, Site, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, and Meeting Professionals International. More than 50 exhibitors have committed to next year's AIBTM, reported organizers, which takes place June 11-13, 2013, in Chicago's McCormick Place.
