ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership has written a letter to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in China voicing concern over a draft law that threatens foreign organizations' ability to be active in China. "Major restrictions would be placed on the ability of our association professionals to meet, share knowledge, conduct business and share best practices with Chinese associations," the letter said. "The value of a mutually beneficial collaboration between Chinese and non-mainland associations cannot be overstated, and we respectfully ask that you consider changes to the draft law that will ensure continued engagement between Chinese companies and nonprofits and their non-mainland counterparts."
