The American Society of Association Executives, which has more than 30,000 members, is now offering a new continuous learning and talent development platform called ASAE Learning Online for ASAE members and nonmembers.

Through the system, subscribers are able to personalize their learning plans, take skills-gap assessments and search through hundreds of educational options that align with association management competencies as defined by ASAE's Job Task Analysis. Courses also are available on professional skills. In addition, the platform is capable of offering personalized recommendations to help participants find the most relevant content.

"ASAE Learning Online gives the association community the ability to learn at the point of need, when and where they need it, as well as understand where they are along their career path," said ASAE president and CEO John H. Graham IV, FASAE, CAE. "Subscribers will be able to take self-assessments, set goals and track all their continuing education in one place. We are very excited about this new platform for association professionals."

Monthly subscriptions are available $49 for members and $69 for nonmembers; an annual subscription costs $488 for members and $678 for nonmembers. Five courses are available for free for a seven-day trial. In the fall, ASAE Learning Online will begin offering organization subscriptions; it will have a range of talent-management related features and introduce multicourse certification programs and career bundles.

"Research shows that organizations with strong learning and talent-development processes drive better business results, including more revenue, greater employee engagement, reduced staff turnover and higher customer retention," said Rhonda Payne, CAE, ASAE's chief learning officer. "As we position ASAE to provide the best support for our members individually as well as organizationally, it is critical that we offer a variety of ways to engage and help advance this type of employee-centric learning culture."

ASAE is using the platform SumTotal, a Skillsoft company, and the content is curated from a combination of member-produced, staff-produced and third-party course content. Click here for more information or to sign-up.
