The Convention Industry Council has announced that the Certified Meeting Professional exam will be administered digitally starting in July 2012, through a partnership with Prometric, a provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment. Tests are scheduled for July 12-21 and Nov. 1-12, 2012, at more than 450 facilities in 166 countries. The number of exam dates will expand in 2013. An update of the test also will debut in July, introducing sections based on the new CMP International Standards. "Moving the CMP exam to a computer-based platform enhances efficiency and convenience for the test taker," said Karen Kotowski, CAE, CMP, who is CEO of the council. "We anticipate the number of certified meeting professionals, worldwide, to increase dramatically over the next several years." A list of CMP-testing dates is available at conventionindustry.org.
