Destination Marketing Association International has named Paul Ouimet managing director of  DestinationNEXT, DMAI's scientific roadmap to help destination marketing organizations navigate the future. Ouimet, the founder and CEO of NEXTFactor Enterprises Inc., was instrumental in the development of the DestinationNEXT research and online tool. Prior to founding NEXTFactor Enterprises, Ouimet was one of three founding partners of InterVISTAS, a consulting firm specializing in the aviation, transportation and tourism industries. Over the past 18 years, he led the firm's tourism practice and played a major role in building it into a multinational company with offices in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Brazil.

"Paul is one of the most influential and well-versed authorities on the future of destination marketing, and an obvious choice to lead the DestinationNEXT initiative," said Charles Jeffers, interim president and CEO of DMAI. "Since the project's inception, Paul has been at the center of discussions and leading the way for DMAI and our members.
