Destinations International has announced additions to its 2017-'18 board of directors and the Destinations International Foundation board of trustees. The new members were appointed following recent bylaw changes that allows the Destinations International board to include five seats for destination partner members, and expands the number of voting members on the foundation's board to 25.

The Destinations International board members announced today are David Dubois, president and CEO of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events; Cara Frank, vice president of marketing for Simpleview; Karl Ely, senior vice president and publisher for the American Society of Association Executives; Tom Kemp, left, chairman and CEO of Northstar Travel Group (parent company of M&C); and Monya Mandich, global senior director of marketing and communications for Expedia. The new foundation trustees are John Percy, president and CEO of Destination Niagara USA, and Gregg Shapiro, president and chief creative officer for Tempest.

"Destination partners are critical to Destinations International and our members, so it is fitting that our board composition has been altered to reflect their key role in our mission," said Tammy Blount, president and CEO of the Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau, who is DI's current board chair.
